Epoxy vs. Polyurea Floor Coatings

We install both systems. Neither one is the best choice for every floor, so we recommend based on your concrete and how you want to use the space.

Epoxy systems

A proven base coat with a longer working time, a great fit for many garages, basements and workshops. Usually a 2-day install.

Polyurea systems

A fast-curing, flexible base coat that allows one-day installs on many garages. A great fit when you want your space back quickly.

Both systems

Finished with a UV-stable polyaspartic top coat that resists hot-tire pickup and wipes clean easily. Both are backed by our 10-year warranty.

How we choose

We inspect the slab, test moisture with a moisture meter, and ask how you use the space, your timeline and your budget. If moisture readings are high, we recommend a moisture-mitigating primer. If they aren't, you won't pay for one.

Common questions

Which is better, epoxy or polyurea?

Neither one is better for every floor. It depends on your slab, its moisture readings, how you use the space, your timeline and your budget. We test your concrete first and then recommend the system that fits.

Can you do a one-day garage floor?

Often, yes. Polyurea cures quickly, which allows one-day installs on many garages. Whether yours qualifies depends on the slab condition and the repairs it needs, which we check during the free estimate.

Do I need a moisture barrier?

Only if your slab needs one. We test moisture with a moisture meter. If readings are high, we recommend a moisture-mitigating primer. If they aren't, you won't pay for one.
