Patio & Deck FAQs

Common questions about patio & deck epoxy flooring.

How much does an outdoor concrete coating cost?

Outdoor coating pricing depends on the size and condition of the concrete, crack or surface repairs, exposure and the coating system required. Because patios and outdoor surfaces can vary considerably, we inspect the area before providing a written estimate.

Will the coating fade or yellow in the sun?

No. We use UV-stable polyaspartic top coats on outdoor surfaces, so the finish holds its color in direct sunlight instead of yellowing the way standard epoxy does outdoors.

How does it handle Wisconsin freeze-thaw cycles?

The system is flexible and fully sealed, so water can't soak into the slab and expand as it freezes. That's what causes the flaking and spalling you see on untreated patios and pool decks.

Is it slippery when wet?

Outdoor surfaces get a slip-resistant texture from the broadcast media, and we can increase grip further for pool decks and steps where the surface is wet most of the time.

Can you coat an old or weathered patio?

Often, yes. We grind the surface, repair cracks and spalling, and evaluate whether the slab is sound enough to coat. If it isn't, we'll tell you before quoting the work.

When can the patio be used again?

Foot traffic is typically fine about 24 hours after installation, with furniture back on the surface after roughly 48 hours. Weather can affect the schedule, so we confirm timing on site.
