Garage FAQs

Common questions about garage epoxy flooring.

How much does a garage floor coating cost?

Most residential flake garage floor systems typically fall in the $4–$8 per square foot range. Final pricing depends on the size and condition of the concrete, repairs, surface preparation and the coating system selected. We inspect the floor first and provide a detailed written quote.

Will the coating peel from hot-tire pickup?

No. Hot-tire pickup happens when a coating is not properly bonded to mechanically prepared concrete. We diamond grind the slab before installation and finish with a polyaspartic top coat, so hot tires won't lift the floor.

How does it hold up to road salt and Wisconsin winters?

Very well. The system is sealed and salt-safe, so melting snow, brine and slush sit on the surface instead of soaking into the concrete. It also resists the freeze-thaw damage that pits and spalls bare garage slabs.

How soon can I park on the floor after installation?

You can walk on it about 24 hours after installation and drive on it in roughly 48 hours. Most garages are completed in 1–2 days.

Will it work over old, cracked or pitted concrete?

Usually, yes. We repair cracks, pitting and imperfections during prep and grind the surface smooth before coating. We inspect the slab first and tell you honestly if any additional repair is needed.

Is the finished garage floor slippery?

The broadcast flake creates natural texture that provides good slip resistance, even when the floor is wet from snow or rain. Additional grip additives can be included if you want more traction.
